About Xin 33
Xin 33 (33 / Sansan) is a long-established walnut type that has been grown in the Uyghur Region for more than a hundred years. Long hours of sunshine, unpolluted soils and orchards fed by glacier water produce large, flavourful nuts.
Its biggest strength is its large caliber: it is offered in 32, 34 and 36 mm+ sizes. Kernel yield is around 50% (± 2%), making it a balanced choice for buyers looking for a large appearance at an economical price.
Harvest takes place from late August to early September, and new crop shipments start early in the season. Its round, even and large appearance, together with a shell that is not brittle, makes it very well suited to roasted in-shell walnuts. It is also ideal for in-shell retail, gift packs and nut counters.
